What a fun evening that was! Thank you to everyone who came and supported our Night of Comedy with Jon Richardson and friends, helping to raise money for the continued restoration of The Plough. Great to hear a whole room of people laughing at some rather rude jokes!. We will let you know how much the evening raised when we have done some counting! And we have the framework for a bar! Plus plasterboarded walls and fire proof ceiling. It’s coming along - it’s beginning to look like a pub again! Here is our latest investor and supporter update: The insulation has been going in (in the ceiling of the bar area) and then when that was completed the double layer of fire-board was added over the top using this helpful contraption - as the board are heavy!. Tomorrow the ceiling beams start to go back in. The windows are going in along the front of pub! This will really transform the look of the building but also make it water-tight. Then work can really speed up on getting the bar ready. HELP NEEDED - If anyone is free this evening (6.30pm) to help us at The Plough take down a marquee and clear the beer tent - that would be greatly appreciated. Just turn up! What a weekend! Thank you to everyone who came along and supported us this weekend; and to all the sponsors and volunteers that made it happen. Two days of fabulous Yorkshire beers, cider, lager, gin; food and music. Let’s do it again next year! What a fabulous night! Thank you to everyone who came along and supported us. The doors are open! Come along and enjoy a great evening of local beers, lager, gin, vodka, and cider - fabulous music and food. Open to 11pm.
