Round-up from Beer Festival Day 1 – Friday 10 July 2026

Thank you to everyone that joined us last night at day 1 of The Plough’s Beer Festival. The sun was shining and with the great selection of beers and food, plus the music line-up it was a great evening.

So we get to do it all over again today, with the doors opening at 3pm and the bar will run through to 11.45 as we will be screening the England vs Norway match which kicks-off at 10pm tonight. We have three food options – Plough BBQ, Mr Chippy Fish & Chips and Curry, plus music from Grayson & Jacobs; Gracie Sheriff, Diva Strop and Born Wild. Plus lots of Yorkshire beers, ale, lager, cider to try as well as trying and buying our very own Plough Gin, Vodka and Whisky.

There are less than 40 tickets left for today’s entry into the Beer Festival – so please don’t delay in getting your tickets here. When we reach capacity we will operate a one out/one in policy.

  1. Dear Debbie me and my disabled wife travelled up to the Plough from Chesterfield on the Saturday, would like to thank you and all the staff involved for a wonderful experience we both had. People where so very helpful and friendly towards two strangers from Derbyshire staff where all out of this world, and so caring towards my wife in her power chair. The ale on supply was well looked after, not to mention the best fish and chips in a long while so very fresh and enjoyable. We also purchase t shirts which I will be wearing with pride for rest of the year already planning for next year’s fest??. Wishing all the committee all the best for your future venture, and the reopening of the Plough, please do keep us informed of any any other further events you may have in the coming months, best wishes many thanks Tracy and Jim Carley Chesterfield Derbyshire.

    1. Dear Jim
Thank you very much for your very kind note. It means a lot that you both travelled so far and had such a good experience at the beer festival and that you both felt so welcome. That is very much the experience we want people to have with The Plough – before and after we open the doors! We hope that we will see you both again soon. Best wishes Debbie
