The Plough, a small rural pub in Fadmoor, North Yorkshire dates back to 1782 and was well-known as a fantastic village pub and restaurant.
In 2011 the pub was closed but in September 2024 The Plough was purchased by the community with help from the UK Government’s Community Ownership Fund. Work now begins on the renovation of the building to bring this fabulous pub back to a thriving, inclusive and sustainable hub for socialising.
The Plough will be a welcoming space for all, focusing on community engagement, sourcing local products and produce. The pub is currently closed but we hope to open the doors to you in Summer 2026.
