Join us for a stunning North York Moors cycle sportive setting off from Fadmoor and heading out through Bransdale, Farndale and Rosedale. Quiet lanes, big views, proper climbs, and a warm welcome back at The Plough in Fadmoor for a pie and a pint! Full details are available here and on the entry form.

Taking place on Saturday 9 May 2026, with a staggered start from 9.30am at The Plough with the pie&pint served at the end of the sportive (12pm). Registration is from 8.30am at The Plough.

The sportive is open to confident riders on road bikes, gravel biles, electric bikes and hybrids. The route uses public roads and includes climbing – it is not a race, but you should be comfortable riding on open roads and tackling hills.

There are 3 routes to choose from, all fully signposted, with a great community atmosphere from start to finish. The Short route is 29 miles (with 2,500ft elevation) and takes you through Ryedale via Harome to Helmsley and then north through Carlton to Bransdale. The medium route is 44 miles (with 4,500ft elevation) and starts in the same way but then the route carries on to take in Farndale too. The Long Route is 56 miles (with 5,800ft elevation) and encompasses Bransdale, Farndale and Rosedale.
