A thank you from The Plough committee

Wow, what a fabulous response to Our Yorkshire Pub Rescue with Jon Richardson and all the publicity surrounding the show.  We are so pleased you enjoyed the first episode and don’t forget there are 3 more episodes to go in this series so tune into More4 at 9pm on Wednesday or catch the show on the streaming channels.

We have been bowled over by the number of you who have got in touch to invest in The Plough through our share offer, as well as donate money to help us buy materials for the restoration.   This all makes such a difference as we work towards raising the £60k we need to open the doors in September, and if we receive more than that we can look to open the doors earlier.  As we have had so many enquiries about the pub please bear with us and we will get back to you, and get your share certificates out, as soon as possible.

Thank you also to the people who have offered to volunteer with the pub restoration and join our Weekend Warriors, all your help is greatly appreciated – it’s what community is all about.  We have also seen a real uptick in the number of followers in our online community too   so welcome to you and also to everyone that visited our website.

Lets’ see where this journey takes us but the more investment we receive the closer that first pint being served is.

What an encouraging response to the TV programme.
My wife and I are already shareholders and look forward to the opening.
As pensioners our intention is to attend for regular lunches.
    Kind regards
    Carol and Paul Johnson.

Great program and even greater for the pub! Can’t wait to enjoy a pint there!👍👍👍

    1. We look forward to welcoming you both to The Plough for a well deserved pint. Thanks for your continued support

  3. Great community, sadly live too far away to help but have become a shareholder. Can’t wait to have some beers and food when we next come up👍🏻

    1. We look forward to welcoming you when you are back in the area. Thank you for investing and helping to bring The Plough back to life.

  4. We last saw it in a very sorry state with scaffolding around a very dilapidated building. SO happy to see it coming slowly back to life! 😁🍻Too far away to nip in for a quick pint, but will try and help some other way!

    1. We look forward to welcoming you if you are back in the area. It’s looking better since the scaffolding came down, with a new roof, but lots of works to do inside and out.

  5. As another remote investor, it’s a brilliant idea and the programme so clearly shows the passion of the team and Jon’s openness about his failings as a construction worker and nicely woven around great insights into the value of a pub and its value to the community. I hope that there will be space for dogs as well as appreciative visitors when we are next up there. Many thanks and very best wishes.

    1. Thank you for your kind words. We are (nearly) all dog lovers, so want to make it a space you can go for a walk with the dog, and all call in for a pint/meal inside or out.

  6. Such a lovely refreshing community feel about this project and the people involved in restoring such a great local pub have good hearts and willing hands to help. Well done everyone we need more people like you in this world , It restores one’s faith in humankind. I think Jon Richardson has been the perfect man to get alongside you all and present the programme in a lovely manner which has encouraged so many to get on board .
I have enjoyed watching every episode so far …better than Emmerdale lol , and hope to visit sometime.
Keep up the great work ! ❤️🤗 Diane Blackpool
