The Plough, Fadmoor in North Yorkshire is coming to the small screen
Four-part series launches on Wednesday 4th February at 9pm on More4
January 26, 2026: The wait is finally over. The TV series all about The Plough in Fadmoor North Yorkshire and its local community will be coming to your living room on Wednesday 4th February. The four-part observational series will be televised on More4 at 9pm and is called “Our Yorkshire Pub Rescue with Jon Richardson”. The programme willrun on consecutive Wednesdays throughout the month of February and will also be available on Channel 4’s streaming services.
The programme follows the restoration of The Plough in Fadmoor which was purchased in September 2024 with money from the Government’s Community Ownership Fund with matching funds from local investors in the community. Having been closed for 14 years, the building needs extensive work and additional investment, and the programme shines a light on the work that The Plough’s committee, volunteers from Fadmoor and the broader community are doing to bring this community pub to life along with the help of Jon Richardson.
Peter Jones, Fadmoor Community Pub Limited Chairman said: “As you will see, there is a lot of work that needs to be done to renovate this derelict pub and to breathe fresh life back into the building. As we work on the building, we keep uncovering issues and so it is going to take a lot of time and money to return it to its natural place as the heart of this fabulous rural community. Episode 1 sees Jon meeting some of The Plough’s committee and volunteers at the pub, helping with the demolition of the toilet block; getting supplies for the hungry workers and fetching beer for the Investor and Supporter meeting where he meets the broader community. The following episodes show the journey of the pub restoration as well as Jon getting to know The Plough’s committee members and the villagers of Fadmoor who are making it happen. All of this is set with the backdrop of the beautiful North Yorkshire landscape surrounding Fadmoor.
